Betty White's Off Their Rockers

Common Sense Media says

Hidden-camera show features laughs and bawdy behavior.
Age

Quality

  • The series attempts to break social stereotypes about seniors. It also underscores the idea that seniors are humorously getting back at young people for discounting their ability to be fun and sexy.
  • The pranksters can be sharp at times but aren't mean spirited. The seniors are mostly positive representations of older folks.
  • Pranks include seniors crashing into glass, buildings, and other people on motorized carts and other vehicles, but no injuries are shown. Occasionally the actors pretend to beat each other up.
  • Some sexual innuendo, including references to body parts, the "mile high" club, and sexual acts. Pranks include stripping and running naked in public places (nudity is blurred).
  • Words like "hell" and "ass" are audible; curses like "f--k" are bleeped. Obscene gestures are blurred.
  • Cars like Mustang convertibles are visible. References are made to soda brands like Coke and Sprite.
  • References to drinking beer; people are shown drinking large glasses of wine.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Betty White's Off Their Rockers is a hidden-camera reality series in which senior citizens play brazen pranks on much younger people. There's lots of sexual innuendo (as well as some blurred nudity), salty vocab, and staged crashes and assaults (though no injuries are shown). Drinking is visible, and brands like Mustang, Coke, and Sprite pop up. The pranks aren't mean spirited and attempt to break social stereotypes about the elderly.

Not much humor but lots of bad influence!!!!!!
too much of bad influences and foul language. I wonder what betty & her "buddies" will think is ok when they are face to face with God?

Definitely for older teens
Even though this show does have a good message against ageism and can help parents to instill respect for older people in their kids, this show is totally for mid-to-older teens and young adults. There's plenty of sexual references, some language, drinking (and smoking by a young, kind of foul-mouthed man (though he does ask the older lady if she minded if he smoked, which people now rarely do) and other people in some parts) oh, and blurred nudity. I'm pretty sure this is targeted at younger people, to teach them that ageism is wrong, but still, the content would probably be rated R if it was a movie and it wasn't blurred and bleeped.

Best show EVER
This show is amazing, I watch it when i can catch it (not too often because I either am doing something or my dad is hogging up the TV). But it shows that seniors aren't weak and boring. It shows that they are exiteing and hilarious. I have to thank 90 year old Betty White for making this show and it cracks me up everytime i watch it! My parents and immature older sibling like it too.
