Parents need to know that the highly-anticipated single "Settle Down" is the first official release for No Doubt in several years, but don't worry if your tweens are already smitten -- the song has clean content and lyrics for any age. The video shows a red-lipped Gwen Stefani dancing around a lot, even to the point where she seems a little confused, but there's nothing questionable or inappropriate.

What's the story?

Gwen Stefani and No Doubt release their first official single in several years, "SETTLE DOWN." This single is funky and upbeat with a Caribbean flair that brings summertime to any season, and the colorful vibe is consistent with the sound that garnered the group fans and success in the '90s. The video features the band dancing among lots of people and bright semi-trucks, with a heartfelt moment showing the band embracing as they meet up.

Is it any good?

No Doubt has always had a unique sound that puts them in a category all their own. "Settle Down" continues their Jamaican-soul, pop-rock ways, with Stefani even singing in an island-flavored accent, "Get in line and settle down." The song lingers on a bit with a mellow jam session at the end, and although the chorus gets a tad repetitive, it's the perfect single to bring this group back with a punch, just like Stefani's fightin' words -- "I'm fine, nothing's gonna knock this girl down." No Doubt is settling into this century just fine, and "Settle Down" definitely leaves you wanting more.

Good Message, Great Lyrics, Excellent Song

Fun Catchy Pop Tune that is wonderful to dance to. Good Messages to never give up. "I'm fine. Nothins gonna knock this girl down."

Good song

I remember really liking Gwen's song "Sweet Escape" when I was younger. My parents really liked Gwen's music as well. This song is pretty good as well. I don't remember hearing anything bad in this song. I might buy it on my iPod. -Samantha (chocolatecake123)
