High School Musical 3: Senior Year Soundtrack

Common Sense Media says

More of the same likeable HSM tunes.

  • Predictably positive messages about friendship and dealing with the uncertainties of graduation and growing up, along with the subtle message that it's cool to be in the school play. "I Want It All" playfully glorifies the fame, fortune, and superficial perks that come with being a big star.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that kids will be clamoring for Disney's hugely hyped soundtrack album. The good news is that it's squeaky-clean, well-performed kid pop that's family-safe, danceable, and fun, with plenty of positive messages.

HS Musical is great!
Fun--up beat and a little sappy at time. The review and rating seem right on in terms of age and appropriateness. Taking my niece and nephew to see the movie this weekend.

Disney Clean with Positive Friendship Messages
High School Musical has never been known as 'dirty'. In fact, it has always been known as the cleanest famous movie ever. It's innocent, and has messages about friendship. The only concern is the obvious tie-in to the High School Musical franchise, which, unsurprisingly, has everything with an HSM tag on it. Overall, young girls will enjoy third dose.

not so great
to me a couple of the songs are just ok but the rest are awful. ( a couple songs are about relationships)

(by Various Artists, Soundtrack)
Squeaky-clean soundtrack to popular tween movie.
(by Various Artists, Soundtrack)
Upbeat dance-party fun from Disney's hit sequel.
(NR, 2006)

A modern-day Grease for tweens.
