"Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)" (CD Single)

Common Sense Media says

Feisty hip-hop song about living large is clean and fun.

  • A fun, encouraging song for when you need a boost of confidence.
  • Furtado is a positive role model because she's always willing to try something new musically and doesn't tie herself down to one genre; she has done duets with the likes of Michael Buble and Timbaland.
  • Not applicable.
  • Mentions the word sex, but nothing else: "I don't wanna talk about sex, wanna express myself tonight."

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that "Big Hoops" is a funky hip-hop beat that's a feisty club anthem about being yourself and going out and having fun. Although it embraces a certain cockiness with its "bigger is better" mantra, it's a healthy dose of confidence that anyone could use, and it gives this boost without iffy lyrics or content.
