  • The Dora franchise boasts a decade's worth of marketing, resulting in a recognizable brand name and a bunch of toys, books, games, videos, and clothing. The movie frequently makes references to some of Dora's previous adventures, so young fans may be inspired to see episodes or specials that they've missed.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this anniversary special is identical in style to the popular, now 10-year-old series, so existing fans are sure to enjoy the festivities. Dora's bilingual style introduces kids to common Spanish words and phrases, and the show's use of repetition ensures that viewers will retain at least some of what's said. The Dora franchise boasts a marketing conglomerate that includes books, videos, games, and toys, so tuning in might pique kids' interest in similar add-ons. What's more, the movie includes flashback clips of Dora's past specials, so young fans may want to fill in the blanks of their own Dora repertoire after seeing these virtual commercials.

Dora's Big Birthday Adventure
I loved Dora when I was a little tiny being, This show first came to nickelodeon in August 2000 so ten years later which was the 10th anevursery of dora, they celebrated her birthday with a huge wonderful birthday special, Its still on u know and I have a little 3 year old cousin who loves dora so I teach him whatever dora wants us to learn. I wish I was at the party so I can eat the cake for dora's 10th birthday. I love cake! Now so many kids are watching dora that they are speaking spanish, even I know a few spanish words.
