Great Movie Squeamish Beware
This movie, although graphic, is a very good rendition of what zombie movies should be like. The overtones of helping others through whatever happens can come as a good change in the newer horror movies that put sex at the forefront. Now although this movie is a good one, and the action scenes can get everyone on the edge of their seat there are a three main parts that require a mature personality especially at the younger ages. The first and most obvious is the full male nudity near the beginning of the film. It is a short scene that really sets a symbolic tone, but for the sensitive beware. Second is the first third of the movie is really dark. Zombies are everywhere, running away through sewers, having to put a bullet in some guys head to stop him from becoming a zombie. It can be a bit much for a squeamish viewer to handle. Finally the last part of the movie revolves around the plans to rape the two female protagonists. Note, this is not actually done and it is not said directly "I am going to rape them", but for an older viewer it is more apparent. This is of course balanced out by the surviving male protagonist rescuing them emphasizing the main message of the film. Overall a great movie, but make sure the younger viewers are more able to cope with the violence.

28 Days Later
A really cool movie. Very bloody and intense violence. So this movie is definitely not for the faint of heart. No surprise pop-ups but the zombies themselves are pretty freaky.

Great for older teens/adults
28 Days later isnt your regular zombie movie. The"zombies" are fast and viscious and more frightening than the regular zombies of old movies. The film also features many fleshed out, sympathetic characters and features strong performances. I wouldnt recomend it for children or young teens due to a full frontal male nude, language and a couple of moments of graphic violence.

Scariest movie I have ever seen.
I love this movie it is one of the best scary movies ever made.Very violent, a bit of language, non sexual full frontal nudity but other than that it really depends on the kid watching it if they can handle it.

Excellent!
Finally! A well done zombie movie with a serious tone. 28 Days Later is a near perfect horror film and should be watched by more people than just the horror junkies. There is no explicit sexual content and not too much language. It's an exciting, edge of you seat horror movie that knows its limits. The best zombie movie I have ever seen and probably will ever see. Certainly one of the best horror films of the last decade.

Boring
The problem with this movie is that while zombies exist in it, they don't play a major role. The only thing they really do is establish a reason for what's happening, and why nobody is there, other than that they're not involved in the story at all. It's just like any other "survival-horror" movie with zombies, but the final fight isn't against zombies, and neither is most of the movie.

Not very good...
When i saw the trailers for 28 weeks later i thought the original must not have been bad if they were making a sequel but this movie really wasn't much of a horror movie. You see few zombies which hardly do anything in the movie and the basic outline of the movie equals rape which really isn't a good subject to place a zombie flick around.

A compelling and disturbing testament of human brutality.
28 days later is more than just a zombie film. It isn't as action oriented as Dawn Of The Dead or as cliched as the Resident Evil series. It doesn't have unnecessary over the top violence thrown in for shock value. The characters are not hollow archetypes but realistic everyday people. They run much more than they fight. The film has low budget but realistic special effects and is directed in a frighteningly real style. And most importantly, the film has a driving and powerful message . It's almost offensive how the CSM reviewer missed it. The message is made very clear during the films climax. The message of the film is that of a beast within all of us, that if released could shake others with violence. In the end, we are no different than the senselessly enraged zombies. The film is extremely disturbing and violent, but as stated earlier, it' this way to convey a message. Not for shock value. If young viewers are mature and able to appropriately handle disturbing content and violence, then I recommend this film.

Yeah, pretty Disturbing
I saw this movie a couple years ago, and I'm doing a review now because 28 Weeks Later is coming out and it reminded me of this movie. It is VERY graphic and VERY disturbing, but it's pretty much your basic zombie movie. I liked it and will most likely see "28 Weeks Later".

Not a good one
So stupid at times and dragged on quite a bit. Some Adult themes but not over the top. Not worth seeing. There is a part when you see the main character naked but not in a sexual way. Fine for 13 and up! 2/5
