What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this is violent third-person shooter meant for adults only. The protagonist uses a large arsenal of weapons to kill enemies, including assault rifles, rocket launchers, grenades and shotguns. Foes spew blood after getting shot, while one particular creature's head explodes after attacks. There are scenes with partial nudity. The game is also playable online, a feature Common Sense Media does not recommend for children under the age of 12.

Great game for 15+
Very good shooter for the PSP. Game is perfectly fine for those 15 and older. All enemies are aliens who bleed red blood when shot, but it's not particularly graphic. Sex is implied in one scene, and breasts can be briefly seen on the Chimera's human test subjects; they are seen from a distance and are only visible in two levels. Some strong profanity, but never exceeds PG-13 profanity (d**n, s**t, f**k in a non-sexual sense).

A great new entry in the Resistance series.
Retribution still retains the dark tone that made the Resistance series memorable, and is a lot of fun to play with many reasons to come back after beating the story. The violence is more tame on the PSP, but there is still blood when you kill enemies. Titans explode after being defeated, but it's not bad. There is also one suggestive scene with partial nudity in a cutscene, but overall, those who are 15 and can handle the dark tone will be fine playing this game.

Good... But not great. NOT FOR KIDS!
I thought the game was good. It had its intense moments. You seem to be constantl out numbered and out gunned with some massive enemys. The controll scheme worked shockingly well for a PSP shooter! The multi-player is fun with a fair ammount of variety but the games main focus is its single player. The bad? The cover system is sticky, using the D pad for cerain actions is funky, especialy in a gun fight(constantly) voice acting is laughable, and while it has a good story it is very predictable. BOTTOM LINE? If you are a fan of shooters you will enjoy this. Don't expect perfection but it is one of, if not the best psp shooter to date on the PSP NOT FOR KIDS!!!!!!!

Best psp game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! resistance is awsome just don't bring it to school i got in trouble for bringing the cover of the game.It is so awsome the game is about a british marine who has to excute is own brother and joins forces with anothe fighting group called the maquis mercenries and fights the chlimera aliens and try to find a stop to this alien madness in this awsome epic psp game!!!

Bleak,dark and violent-A good mixture in M rated games.
I have been loving the Resistance series and had to get this too.So I did.And it wasn't any disappointment.The great gameplay makes up for the big bucks spent,making it money well spent.So get this for your kids,they will,love you for life.Promise you that.
