  • Overall, you are protecting Earth from menacing aliens. However, the game is an arcade shooter and includes aiming and firing a number of weapons at enemies in an effort to destroy all of them. The game also supports gun-like peripherals, such as Top Shot Elite, Wii Zapper, and PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter.
  • Gamers assume the role of Men in Black agent Peter Delacoeur, an art thief who gets a second chance -- and vows to fight back against an alien plot to take over the planet. He uses mostly weapons, as well as gadgets and a tricked out MIB car to perform the jobs at hand, as well as interrogating suspects to uncover their motives.
  • This third-person game is pretty easy to play as it's a straightforward arcade shooter. But some dexterity is required to aim and shoot at the various enemies. Experience in this genre will help to master the controls quickly.
  • The game is a third-person arcade shooter, as the character aims and fires weapons at alien enemies. There is no blood or gore, but players shoot to kill and slow-motion effects add some drama and sensationalism to the action. The game also supports gun-like peripherals, such as the Wii Zapper and Top Shot Elite. The player doesn't target humans -- only aliens. Some scenes might be disturbing for kids, such as an alien crawling out of a (fake) human's body, as it screams, and an explosion that blankets a large part of a city.
  • There are some suggestive scenes, one of which is when a female is trying to seduce the MIB agent with sexy glances and body movements. There are also a couple of references and visuals related to a woman's breasts: dialogue includes suggestive lines like "Sounds good, Agent Double-D" and "Eyes up here," followed by a camera pan that briefly looks at the female's chest before going back up to her face.
  • There is some mild profanity in this game, including words like "hell," "ass" and "damn."
  • The game is based on a Hollywood movie franchise and is released at the same time that Men in Black III hits the theaters -- plus there's a gift certificate in the box for a discount on a movie ticket. But there is no in-game advertising or product placement.
  • Not applicable.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know Men in Black: Alien Crisis is a shooter-based game, created by the same studio responsible for many Cabela's-branded hunting simulations. From a third-person perspective you must shoot to kill alien threats. There is no blood or gore, but shooting is the core game mechanic, followed by gadgets, interrogation, and racing.
